Allan Fallow, aka Conan the Grammarian, has written features, travel pieces, book reviews, and humor columns for The Washington Post, The L. A. Times, Smithsonian, National Geographic Traveler, Air&Space, Travel-Holiday, Southern Accents, The Washington Times, and the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He spent 20 years clawing and scratching his way to the middle at Time-Life Books, then served as a travel-book editor at National Geographic and as a features editor at AARP The Magazine. Since 2009, @thefallow has curated #TodaysNeologism.

A full-time freelance book doctor, text editor, and copy editor since April 2017, Allan has worked for St. Martin’s Press, Penguin Random House, The Pew Charitable Trusts, the National Book Festival, and Little, Brown. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University and speaks fluent French and laughable Italian.
